Protekt Aire 8000 Bariatric Mattress System

The Protket Aire 8000 is a low air loss alternating pressure bariatric mattress system specially designed for the prevention of bedsores. This high-quality and affordable air mattress system is suitable for medium and high-risk pressure ulcer treatment. When used properly the Protekt Aire 8000 pump and mattress system has been shown to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers while optimizing patient comfort.

Alternating pressure cycles of 10,15, 20, and 25 minutes allow clinicians to customize pressure redistribution and skin surface interface. The cell-on-cell mattress design prevents the patient from bottoming out in the event of a power failure. Each of the 20 10-inch air cells is constructed of Nylon/PU for durability, support, and comfort. To prevent skin maceration the low air loss function controls and manages moisture. Audio/visual low-pressure alarms alert clinicians when preset pressure levels decrease. For easy transfer in and out of bed, the system features a static mode.

The Protekt 8000 has a nylon top cover that is fluid-resistant, anti-microbial/anti-bacterial, and quilted for additional comfort. The pillow top feature prevents unnecessary head and neck movement while in alternating mode. A lock button on the pump eliminates tampering with patient settings, including the power switch, by completely locking the control panel. In the event of a patient emergency, the CPR pull tab quickly releases air from the mattress. Both the mattress and pump are backed by Proactive Medical’s 2-year non-prorated warranty.
