By combining a sloped heel section with open-cell memory foam the mattress redistributes pressure from the heel to the less vulnerable lower leg. Healthcare professionals will appreciate the PTSS Rail System, which provides additional support for safer and more seamless patient transfers and allows for easy edge-of-bed sitting. The stretch nylon top cover keeps users comfortable by reducing perspiration and also ensuring a low shear/friction surface. Fluid-resistant, anti-microbial, and anti-bacterial, the cover is easy to clean and maintain. The 360-degree zipper design makes removal, cleaning, or replacement of the cover fast and easy. An Anti-Contamination Flap adds an extra layer of protection, reducing the possibility of fluid migration. Underneath, the mattress boasts a triple laminate vinyl bottom cover, which is fluid-resistant, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and fire-retardant, and meets Federal Fire Code 16 CFR part 1633 to ensure user safety and mattress durability.
