In addition to the self-adjusting air cells, the Protekt Supreme Support Mattress features a top foam layer of Visco Gel Polymer Technology (VGPT™), which is an open-cell visco memory foam that is infused with gel polymers. The VGPT™ provides rapid heat dissipation, excellent pressure redistribution, and greatly improves breathability when compared to a traditional foam mattress. The sloped heel section reduces pressure and increases blood circulation by redistributing the load from the heel to the less vulnerable lower leg. The stretch nylon top cover is fluid resistant, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, breathable, and fire retardant.
